Hallie J. Jackson is an American journalist as well as a political analyst. She is currently an analyst and White House Correspondent for NBC News, and anchors a variety of MSNBC news programs (cable division NBC). John Hopkins University awarded her a degree in political sciences after she was born in Pennsylvania. Jackson worked for a few months in Delaware, Maryland and Connecticut at the CBS-affiliated TV stations WBOC and WFSB. She then was hired by Hearst Corporation in Washington DC and was in charge of all 26 of their stations throughout the United States. She joined NBC News, in 2014. Following a brief stint at the Los Angeles NBC station, Jackson moved to NBC News. The station gained a name for a political correspondent for her outstanding reporting of the presidential election of 2016 and various other elections. Her work has been recognized for her versatility and dedication to work. Some of her major assignments include the reporting for the Presidential campaign by Ted Cruz, Senator Ted Cruz and exclusive interviews with prominent GOP candidates. In 2017 NBC was able to appoint Jackson as their main White House correspondent. She is married to Douglas Hitchner. They have two daughters.
